    Current News!  The following messages are important!  Please read!

    • **Important Message: Some Fall 2025 classes begin on August 20, while others may open later.**

      Check your schedule in Self-Service and monitor Rams Online regularly for when your courses become available by accessing the My courses link at the top of the page.

      If you are unsure about a course start date, please contact the college at 910-642-7141 for assistance.

      Once your course opens, be sure to log in and complete the Enrollment Key Quiz (EKQ) in each class before the census or 10% date. The EKQ is used to verify attendance, and failure to complete it by the deadline may result in being dropped from the course.

    • **Locating your courses**

      If you do not see your course on the Dashboard tab, please click the My Courses tab. If you still do not see your course, contact the Distance Learning team by calling 910.642.7141 and entering extension 314 or 235.

      Note: your classes will not appear until the start date of the class.

    • **Password Reset**

      Follow these steps to reset your password.
      1-Open a browser, such as Chrome or Safari

      2-Go to sccnc.edu
      3-Click on the "Students" link at the top of the page
      4-Click on the Self Service button
      5-Click on Reset Password
      6-Click on Create/Reset Password
      7-Enter the Username. Be sure to use all lowercase letters
      8-Enter the Last Name
      9-Enter the seven-digit student ID number. (Example 0712345).
      If you do not know your seven-digit student ID number, you may find it on an acceptance letter, or on a new or old schedule. You may also contact your instructor, advisor, or call the college at 910-642-7141 for assistance obtaining it.
      10-Enter your Birth Date in a six-digit format. (Example 010199)
      11-Click the Next button
      12-Enter a new password
      13-Be sure to store your username, password, and student ID number in a secure location. You will need this information for all future access.

    • **Rams Online Technical Assistance**

      Password Reset: If you are experiencing login issues, first try resetting your password by visiting the SCC password reset portal at  https://reset.sccnc.edu/PasswordReset/. As an extra layer of protection, student passwords expire every 180 days.  Faculty & staff passwords expire every 90 days. Most login issues are due to passwords expiring. By resetting your password using the reset portal, you may be able to resolve your login issues without having to wait for assistance.
